An app won't block
Check that Screen Time permission is granted (Hurdle → Settings), the hurdle is turned on, and give iOS up to a minute to apply a new block. Restarting the app right after you first grant permission can help.
An app won't unblock after my task
Unblocks apply within a few seconds. If a block lingers, close and reopen the app. If more than one hurdle covers the same app, every one of them has to be cleared before it opens.
The usage chart is empty
Usage renders on-device only and can take a few seconds to appear. It starts collecting after you create your first hurdle, so a brand-new install will look empty at first.
Can I change or remove a hurdle?
Yes — but while a hurdle is active, it's locked so you can't edit or delete it just to skip the task. Complete the task and you're free to change or remove it. That's on purpose: it keeps a moment of impulse from undoing what you set up for yourself.
I really need an app right now
You get three emergency unlocks each week — one tap opens things up with no task required, for the moments you genuinely need in. And Hurdle only ever blocks the apps you chose; your phone, calls, and messages always work. As a last resort, deleting Hurdle removes every block immediately — we hope you won't, but it's your phone.
